The Future of The Lions

The NFL is back in full swing, and there are some exciting games coming up. The Detroit Lions square off against the Green Bay Packers on the 20th, so it’s time to look at some of the action.

Despite their loss in Week 1, the Lions have a young and hungry roster to field. I like their odds of coming away with something this season, thanks in part to their stellar effort at keeping the 49ers on their toes. That mishandled snap in the first play certainly kept me on the edge of my seat. If they can keep up that energy, I, for one, will be excited.

What’s in Store

The season schedule is looking heavy for the Lions, but I’m confident they can handle the pressure. Their match-up against the Packers at Lambeau is sure to be a nail-biter but won’t be the last based on the Lion’s history. Coming down the line, the Ravens, the Bears, and the Vikings games are going to be worth some in-game betting at the very least.

While we’re looking at the latest NFL live odds, I feel I should remind you to check out the Lion’s schedule and get your tickets! With the crowds back, the energy is electric.

Finding the Best Odds

This is the part that I always love the most. Line shopping is where I find the most value for sometimes surprisingly small amounts of effort. For me, it’s worth it even if I only recover an extra 0.1 to 1.0 points. Over time, those points can mean the difference between a winning and losing season.

The Lion’s odds are coming in at +400 on the moneyline at the moment. That may seem like a lot, but if you’ve got a hankering for underdogs as I do, it’s an interesting chance for some team season specials.

I do think that Jared Goff has some ability here to make things happen. Alongside T.J. Hockenson, they’ve got a real chance of a good offense. They threw some heavy defense in against the 49ers in the last few minutes of the game, and if they can keep that energy going against the Packers, things are going to get interesting.

Let’s also remember that the Lion’s Dan Campbell has given De’Andre Swift the all-clear from a groin injury pre-season. Swift’s touchdown was proof that he’s on fine form.

As always, I recommend you practice good bankroll management before taking on any lines or live betting. Without further ado, here are the Lions NFL odds:

  • Lions to make the playoffs: +1200 Yes / -3000 No
  • Lions to start 0-4: -120
  • Lions to start 0-6: +275
  • Lions Games to win – Over 4.5 at -125, Under 4.5 at +105
  • Lions to win the Super Bowl: +25000

When I look at a divisional breakdown, the Detroit Lions Superbowl Odds get really interesting, specifically NFC North:

  • Lions as Division Winner: +2500
  • Lions/Packers in a Dual Forecast: +1200

With those odds, I think Lion betting could be exciting. If I had to pick one, I’d be looking to lay something down on the Lions to win under 4.5 and to make the playoffs. Then, there’s the painful hit – taking the 0-4 bet even though I’m a Lion’s fan at heart.
